I traded away my retro gaming PC! However, I got some sweet pickups as well, so let's see what goodies an old PC got me!

Goodbye, Tandy 1000! | Gaming on the Run

The Tandy 1000 is a great DOS PC. However, all good things must come to an end, and thus our Tandy, along with part of our retro PC gaming collection, must be sold or traded.

New video out on our thoughts on NIntendo's new big reveal!

Should you buy a Nintendo New 2DS XL?

Nintendo has just announced the newest member of the Nintendo 3DS line of handheld gaming consoles: the Nintendo New 2DS XL. Priced at $150, this new, sleek model provides all of the functionality of the New 3DS XL...except for the 3D capabilities, of course. Coming out this July, it seeks to be a middle-of-the-road offering between the regular 2DS and the New 3DS XL. However, is it worth your money? Who is this thing actually marketed towards? Does Nintendo even know what to do with this thing? Find out my thoughts on it in today's video!

New video out today on the recently released Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!

Should you buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? | SWPG

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has come out recently for the Nintendo Switch. Promoted as the definitive version of Mario Kart 8, does it live up to the hype or is it merely a cash-in? Does it truly offer enough to persuade those who already own Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U to upgrade? And is it truly the best way to play Mario Kart on the go? Find out what James and Emily think on today's video!

New video out today, on what may be the worst Pokémon Bootleg ever made!

Pokémon Adventure: The WORST Pokémon Bootleg?

The Game Boy and Game Boy Color were popular among bootleggers. The massive popularity of these platforms led to many unofficial games to be created for them. Pokémon Adventure is one such game.

Not to be confused with the Pokémon Adventures manga, this game is based off an existing bootleg based off Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon Adventure seeks to bring a fast-paced adventure to the Game Boy Color. However, does it succeed at this? Is this game worth playing at all? Find out in today's Stuff We Play Gaiden review!

New discussion video out today on what truly defines a terrible game console!

What Makes a Terrible Game Console? | SWPG

While all game consoles have their respective pros and cons, some have gone down in history as the absolute worst. However, is this scorn deserved? What truly defines a gaming console as terrible?

In today's video, we seek to answer these questions. We take a look at platforms such as the Sega 32X, Nintendo Virtual Boy, 3DO, and Phillips 3Di and decide whether they're truly terrible, or merely just poorly remembered. In the process, we'll go over what truly defines a gaming platform as being great or terrible.

Our Retropalooza video is finally out! See if it is possible to have a cheap date at a game convention!

The $20 Retropalooza Date Challenge

Retropalooza Houston is the premier game convention in south-east Texas. From thousands upon thousands of games for sale to an amazing set of YouTuber guests present, it is one of the best conventions in the state. Is it a good place for a cheap date, though?

Conventions are notorious for being expensive. While Retropalooza is certainly cheaper than most, we are always on the hunt for the best deals possible. Thus, on today's video, James and Emily head to this con in order to partake in a $20 date challenge. The rules are simple:

1. Each person must seek out a gift for the other on a budget of $20.
2. There is a time limit of 20 minutes to find said gifts.
3. The winner is decided by YOU the viewers in the comments below.

Who will win? Will either of them cheat? And will James be incredibly shameless? Find out in today's epic date challenge!

New buying guide out today on the Turbografx-16!

Should You Buy a Turbografx-16 in 2017?

The Turbografx-16 is highly sought after by collectors. First released in North America in 1989, it was crushed by it's main rivals, the Sega Genesis and Super NES. However, with a high quality set of games, the first ever CD-ROM drive on a game console, but also a high price of admission, is it still worth picking up in 2017? Find out as we go over everything Turbografx, from the console itself to some of it's best and most expensive games, in today's episode of Stuff We Play!
