What is your favorite game on the GameGear? Mine is Sonic Triple Trouble. That reminds me. I need to replace the caps in my GameGear.

Personally I liked Sonic the Hedgehog 2 😛

I have the similar problem with mine (video and sound), but arggg!! These security screws!

Security screws are the easy part. Its desoldering, then carefully prying off the old caps without damaging the traces on the board. At least mine works decently if I let it warm up. I got it at a GoodWill for $10, it has both battery covers, and even has the extension port cover still. It also came with a game in it. Prince of Persia. Also picked up a SNES for $5 with no yellowing!

Funny, I think the opposite. =P Soldering for me is easy, I forgot where I got mine I think it was a little junk shop that was throwing out things and I picked it out of the box with a few games and the wrist strap!

Though that is a great deal yay for goodwill! I do wish I could find another SNES, most here are the yellowed ones. 🙁

Soldering is easy, its removing it without taring a trace. As well as the caps are glued to the bored as well. Also they are tiny SMD components, which are a pain to deal with as well. Unless you are just going to cheap out and just use threw hole. Nothign wrong with that, I just like to make my consoles be as original as possible. Yeah, its hard to find good SNES available that are not yellowed. The only thing wrong with the one I picked up is the power connector is broken a little. It still plays games like a champ though.

Sonic Triple Trouble for me as well. Best Sonic game on the system, IMO.

Been a very long time since I had a Game Gear, but I liked the Megaman game a lot when I did have one.

I see thats like the most rare GG game now CIB. =P Wish I still had it.

I really like Streets of Rage 2 for the GG. Its an amazing port of a fantastic game.

Tails has a couple of games as well. Tails Adventure or something. those are really good as well

I personally am not a fan of the Sonic games, but I do actually really enjoy the Mortal Kombat games, and I played Columns a lot back in the day.
