About midwestretrogamers

Retro Eric and Retro Mo met each other in 2006, but they have been gamers all of their lives. Eric started gaming when he received his first NES system at the age of 6 years old. He loved that system because him and his Dad used to play all the time together. One of their favorite games to play was Contra! As all kids probably did back in the day is they sold their NES games to get newer games which Eric did. Eric wanted his parents to get him the Super Nintendo that just came out. His parents wouldn’t buy him one because “You have a NES, play with that”. So the only way Eric could get his SNES was to work for it cutting grass and going to work with his dad and help him out. Finally, Eric was able to get a Super Nintendo and the first game he bought was Super Castlevania. The Castlevania series is Eric’s favorite series of all time! He still to this day has his Super Castlevania he had as a kid. Retro Mo was also a gamer at the age of 6. Her first system was the Atari 2600 sears edition. She went on to own the NES, Super Nintendo, and the N64. The N64 was her favorite system of all time. Anytime she had spare time she would sit down and play. Diddy Kong Racing and 007 were her favorite games to play. Toy Tony is the toy expert of the group. Toy has a wide selection of toys he has been collecting for years. If there is something Toy related that MRG isn’t to familiar on they will give him a call to find out if it is worth the price the seller is asking. Tony is also a Sega collector. Anything Sega Tony will get his hands on. When Retro Eric and Retro Mo met in 2006 it was love at first sight. Both had a lot in common. Each of them loved to collect and play video games. Another thing that they like to collect was Retro Toys. Anything that was He-man, TMNT, or Thundercats related they had to have it. It wasn’t until 2012 they really started collecting. Either going to the flea markets or to the garage sales, it was a lot of fun for the both of them. That’s when the Midwest Retro Gamers was born. First they started doing pickup videos and now they have turned their show into more of a reality shows like The Game Chasers, Beatemups, and Retro Liberty to name a few. They are also going for a complete collection for the NES, SNES, and N64! Being in the Midwest it is not always nice. So when there is downtime they might do a pickup video here and there. Favorite systems to collect for: NES, SNES, N64
