About Gamester81

John “Gamester81” Lester started playing video games at a very young age. His first ever console that he played was a Colecovision, quickly followed by an Atari 2600, and his passion for video games hasn’t stopped. In 2008 John decided to start a video game review show on YouTube called Gamester81 by reviewing rare and retro video game systems and games. His show quickly grew in popularity, and he became friends with many other gamers in the YouTube community.

He is also one of the hosts of the All Gen Gamers Podcast which is a bimonthly podcast for people and video games of all generations.

Some of John’s other hobbies includes collecting Star Wars memorabilia (YouTube channel Starwarsnut77), playing classic arcade games (YouTube channel Gamester81Arcade), watching sports, and listening to music. John is a big fan of the 80’s and 90’s and in 2009 started a YouTube channel called NEStalgiaholic where he talks about nostalgic items and memories from his childhood.

Hey thanks man, and for only $40 it certainly is worth it.

You’ll so right; but do what I have seen with the 1st 4 I wound pay $50 to $60 just if the cart slot was their.

Great video as always Gamester! i know have all 3 of these recent Flashback systems and am really enjoying them. I still have an issue with the wireless joysticks however, in that you really have to aim it right at the system and back sure nothing blocks the signal, and they dont work well at all with games that require the paddle controllers originally. Luckly if you have the original wired joystick and paddles, it makes this console a must have for retro and atari fans.

I don’t believe that Space Invaders was the one released for the Atari 2600. They do a special updated versions? It looks a lot like an Arcade clone….

I don’t see an NES or SNES flashback coming form anyone exeput Nintendo; but since thier’s a lot games form the old Japan only MSX Computer I wound love try an MSX flashback wound be nice and since Commodore had one of the very 1st CD-ROM Based systems I wound love to once with their CD-ROM games. Yes SEGA saw and copied them. I don’t bream Nintendo for dumping CD-ROM form the SNES and Nintendo 64 do to the tech issues with CD-ROMs at the time.
