SEGA ANNOUNCES WALMART EXCLUSIVE FOR ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES
SAN FRANCISCO (February 11, 2013) – SEGA® of America, Inc., Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Gearbox Software announced today an exclusive offer for customers of Walmart and Walmart.com. Customers who preorder or purchase the highly anticipated first person shooter Aliens™: Colonial Marines, launching worldwide on February 12, 2013, at Walmart will receive the game’s upcoming first pack of downloadable content for free.*
Scheduled for March 2013, Aliens: Colonial Marines’ first additional content pack, “Bug Hunt” will throw players into an all-new cooperative multiplayer mode where they have to take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies (“Xenomorphs”) in three brand new maps based on environments from the ALIENS film. Equipped with deadly attack abilities, the Xenomorphs are built to kill and will hunt the Colonial Marines down relentlessly. Players will need to utilize in their best tactics, team up and cooperate against the flood of aliens, who will use every possible path in the environment to get to the Colonial Marines and destroy them.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be available in stores across the globe on February 12, 2013 on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows® PC. A release date for the announced Wii U™ version will be revealed at a later time.
