Nintendo announced today that their new Wii U console will be available in North America on November 18th, in Europe on November 30th, and in Japan on December 8th of 2012.
In North America the Wii U will be available in two different price bundles. A Basic set which will have 8GB of memory and include the Wii U console, the GamePad controller, an HDMI cable, AC adapter and a sensor bar will be priced at $299.99 in the United States.
Nintendo will also release a Deluxe set in North America which includes 32GB of memory, the Wii U console, GamePad controller plus charging cradle and stand, AC adapter, sensor bar and a copy of Nintendo Land. The Deluxe set will be priced at $349.99 in the United States.
Nintendo decided with the European launch not to include a sensor bar with it’s bundle which will be priced at £199. In Japan the the Wii U will cost 26,250 yen ($338) for the Basic set, and 31,500 yen ($407) for the Deluxe set.
So how much will an extra GamePad controller set a gamer back? One additional GamePad controller is estimated to cost $160, £100 or 13,000 yen.
