Post What Was Your Top 10 NES Games?

The NES. A system that changed gaming forever. Without the NES, there might not be home consoles in the U.S. at all. Americans like myself would be gaming on PCs only. It single-handedly brought home-console gaming out of the video game crash.

More importantly to me personally, it was the system I really fell in love with gaming on. My older sister did have an Atari 2600 before we ever had an NES, but I got bored with those game quickly. NES, on the other hand, completely engrossed me in it's game worlds when we got it.

Think back to the time when the name Nintendo was synominous with gaming. When Mario was on the lips of every kid. And when two action buttons was more than enough.

What were your top 10 NES games?

1. Crystalis
2. The Legend of Zelda
3. Super Mario Bros. 3
4. Super Mario Bros.
5. Bionic Commando
6. Contra
7. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
8. Mega Man 2
9. Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos
10. Duck Tales (a whoo hoo!)

Burning Doom, shocked to see another Crytalis lover. That game was amazing. Great items and quests. All the areas seems unique. I still remember looking for that damn beetle kid forever on a replay through the game because I didn't talk to his mother to tell me he was missing. I guess he doesn't appear until you get the quest.

You list looks very nice! We obviously have very similar tastes in gaming.

Ice Hockey
Blades of Steel
Contra
Double Dragon
R.C. Pro Am

...pretty much if it didn't have multiplayer, I wasn't playing it. I would see Zelda and Metroid in the collection but my friend and I only had about a hour to play. So share we did. But now, I'm an adult. And I own Metroid and Zelda and I play the hell out of them! And drink whiskey while I do it.
