1. NES - It's the system I fell in love with gaming on.

2. SNES - It took everything awesome about the NES and made it better: Better graphics, better sound, bigger games, better controller, and more reliable hardware.

3. PS1 - This system took me kicking and screaming into the age of 3D gaming. But once I got used to the controls and orientation, I LOVED it. There was so much risk-taking and experimentation going on with game developers on this system.

4. Genesis - The best Sega console, IMO. This is when Sega was actually managing to not only hold their own against Nintendo, but actually managed to beat Nintendo sales for a while. And it's easy to see why with Sega's fantastic arcade library, Yu Suzuki's AM2 Studios games, and the Sonic the Hedgehog games alongside a great library of third-party titles.

5. GBA-SP - The greatest handheld of all-time, as far as I'm concerned. It has a ton of great original titles, as well as ports of some of the best 16-bit and 8-bit titles ever made. PLUS it's backwards compatible with original Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles. And the long-as-heck battery life and backlit screen sure is nice

1) PSone. The original playstation is great, but the slim PSone from my experience is a more reliable system and tends to be more durable than the playstation. Also, it's super compact so you can fit in almost anywhere. Great if you travel allot and want to take your ps with you.
2) Nintendo 64
3) Playstation 2
4) SNES
5) GBA SP

PS1. It was my childhood and it keeps me coming back to this day. It had the top class platformers, that I loved as a kid(Crash and Spyro). It offered tons of quality games and I was rarely disappointed. FF7 was one of the first RPGs I ever played and it was an absolute gem. The RPGs keep me coming back every year. Arguably the best system of all time.

Oh not a big deal or anything, but it happened to have this little known game called Metal Gear Solid ;).

A Saturn and a Genesis is all I would need.

I really dig the games from the 16-bit era so I find the SNES and Genesis fun to collect for. Large Saturn and early PS1 cases look groovy on the shelf. And I've been catching up on all the PS2 games I missed while I was an Xbox and Gamecube owner.

TL;DR?

    SNES
    Genesis
    Saturn
    PS1 long boxes
    PS2

Dang, we have the same list, just in a different order. And from what I gather from your username, we're both Metallica fans. Do you also read comic books?
