Today you got games that are excellent that made the sales sky-high and games that are very bad and had a bad letdown from the production team or companies. What about games that are so good for this day that had a bad reputation on the public until they look back once again of how great those that really did for the time from the honor of video game fans of their reputation of games that are underrated and straight up forward to the fans. The Main topic of it is what are your favorite games that are underrated and made to cult status like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus.

My favorite two games I wanted to point out Shenmue for the Dreamcast and Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64. So first up Shenmue was one of the cult games with a bad reputation on sales, marketing and the production cost of nearly 5 years and around 47 million bucks of production that Sega had put up with the Dreamcast that time. Sadly over 1.2 million copies were sold it was advertise the "Killer App" to forget the PS2 and buy Shenmue for the Dreamcast and pronounce Free Reactive Eyes Entertainment (nonlinear) and trying to make it play and feel "realistic". What made Shenmue stand out is its open world environment like a day and night system, weather changing, buying items, going to around the city Yokosuka, Japan, and play "Hang On", "Space Harrier" and buying mini figure merchants. And another feature that they want to make it stand out its Quick Time Events that its legacy made to God of War, and modern day games. Shenmue copies now days are cheaper than 10-15 bucks so it worth for getting the Dreamcast. And Sega please I know you guys are busy but end the story or make Shenmue III of the Shenmue series.

So next is Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 first up it was made by Rareware in 2001 and one of the last game they made for the system. Remember those days playing Diddy Kong Racing then playing random characters that you care or don't care. Well turns out that famous bear Banjo has his own game, and Conker he has his own game but in a dirty way I might add. So when Rareware was famous for its N64 games like Goldeneye 007, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, and etc. But around in 2001 when the Gamecube made its appearance and waiting for next year of the launch. In 1997 when Rareware was announcing another platformer game with an E rated title, but it was criticize during that year so delay after delay they decided to go E to M. So this led some controversies I mean alot this game never mentioned on Nintendo Power but mentioned in Playboy Magazine, banned in most video games stores and it was lived up for a year until the N64 discontinued. If you want to find a copy for yourself they aren't cheap so bid with confidence. So the gameplay was simply average platformer but adult themed and many references. My big complaints with the gameplay is that conker falls from five feet he looses his health and water levels that kind of rough.

I know this is a long post but this needs to be address for the forums so what cult games that you like and stand out the most?

It took some commitment to read that post xD I almost went onto the next thing because I didn't feel like reading it. Anyway, I don't think this really fits your description too well but I've bee thinking allot about LSD (or LSD: Dream Simulator) lately. I haven't played it first hand and with the prices that eBay sellers are asking, I doubt I'm going to ever play an actual copy but it's definitely on the top of my list to burn so I can play it on my modded ps1. It seems really interesting.
