Turtles in Time is arguably the premiere Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game. Much like many retro gamers around my age, I first experienced this Konami classic on the SNES, but it was originally released in arcades in 1991. As I came to find out later, there are some major differences between the two versions, and I’m going to examine them right now. Join Matt as he takes a trip down memory lane with this bodacious brawler. As always, thanks for watching:) Also, thanks to my cousin Joel for helping out with the co-op footage.

Cygnus Destroyer’s Retro Reviews is a series devoted to all that is retro video games. From Nintendo’s classic NES to the Sega Genesis and Master System to handhelds such as the Nintendo Game Boy and Sega Game Gear. If it’s a retro video game, console, or accessory and I own it, there’s a good chance it will show up on the series.
Have a retro title that you’d like to see me review or a “bad” game that you’d want to see me give a fair trial on Innocent Until Proven Guilty? Feel free to suggest one in the comments.
Also, if you want to know what video games I own, I keep track of most of my collection on Nintendo Age. Feel free to consult it when making a request:
