Way back in the day I remember going round by cousins place and playing on an old console. It had been bugging me for ages but I recently found out it was the UK version of the Magnavox Odyssey 2 (Philips Videopac G7000). I'll have to see if he's still got it in a cupboard somewhere.

Has anyone else had any experience with this console before?

I've played Bowling! at friends' house a few months ago. It was awful.

I have one boxed with a bunch of games. The plastic is still on the cartridge connector so I'm assuming it's never been used. Unfortunately, I have no idea how I would connect it to the TV seeing as the plug seems a bit weird compared to the Atari 2600. But it seems like a quirky console and I'd love to play it just to see what it's like.

I think you can use the same of the Atari 2600

I used the same TV connector of the Odyssey 2 to connect my Atari 2600 so I think it can work the other way around, I hear there are 2 version of the console, but the difference is that the controllers could be plugged in one and the other are hardwire, but I don’t know if is there any difference in the TV connector cable.

Sorry for my lame English, English is not my main language

I have mine in perfect condition since 1982, when I was 5 yo. What I did was to adapt AV cables on it. I can't name my favorite games because Philips translated it all to portuguese with weird titles. But my favorite among them all is Didi na Mina Encantada (Pick Axe Pete):

Really awesome game

Sure. Maybe its better to create a thread, leaving this one for Odyssey 2. I'll write what I think of it.
