Matt returns to the series that started it all with his longest video yet: an uber-long two part look at every game in his Turbografx collection. Featuring an appearance from Jay of Dubious Gaming. His channel can be found at:

Take a trip under the sea with Matt as he provides a defense for this early licensed movie game that's not only been torn to shreds by the AVGN, but also The Irate Gamer. Random RPG-like battles, bonus jellyfish segments...would you believe that the LJN Defender partially agrees with the AVGN? All this and more in LJN Defender #4! Like the Turbografx video, stick around until the end for the reveal of episode 5. Thanks for watching!

In this installment, I pull an AVGN and revisit the game that kicked off the series. I vowed that I would beat this game someday, and the time to keep my word has arrived. Will I succeed in my attempt? Hit the "Play" button and find out. Thanks for watching!

Step into the SNES squared circle for a triple feature WWF extravaganza! Developed by Sculptured Software, who were also responsible for such quality titles as the Super Star Wars series and the SNES ports of the Mortal Kombat trilogy, This has been a very heavily requested episode, so here it is for your viewing pleasure. Thanks as always for watching!
Streets of Rage...need I say more? Ask any retro gamer to name their top five favorite beat 'em ups, and one or more of the Streets of Rage titles will make an appearance. To mega-fans of the genre, such as myself, these games are 16 bit perfection in a cartridge.
On this uber-long episode of CDRR, I decide to step out of my normal boundaries and cover the very well known franchise, which has been one of my all time favorites since childhood. This is an extra passionate, nostalgia filled edition, so crack your "bare knuckles" and jump into the fray with Sega's stellar series. Thanks for watching!
Typing, zombies, cheesy voice acting, G, and most importantly...typing! In this installment of CDRR, made possible by Cole, a very generous viewer, I finally get a Dreamcast and celebrate by reviewing the game that might as well have been made for me. Join me on this home-row filled episode of Sega splendor.
HUGE thanks again to Cole. I knew I was going to love this game, and now I've finally played it due to you:)

The LJN Defender is back in a big bad way, covering the game that probably everyone was expecting me to do on this special occasion. Predictable as it may be, this is the number one game I've been looking forward to getting to from the beginning. Based loosely on the popular slasher franchise of the 80s, this Atlus developed title may not be 100% faithful to the films, but that doesn't stop it from being fantastically fun. I look forward to Friday the 13th every year, and I always marathon a few of the movies to celebrate each time. There's no way that I was going to let today, the first occurrence since starting this series, pass without sticking up for my favorite title that the company released on the NES. Thanks for watching!

It's finally here! The debut of the long talked about third series! Originally planned as an LJN Defender bonus, Innocent Until Proven Guilty examines other non-LJN games that have largely been the focus of negative bent reviews and considered horrible beyond redemption.
Much like the LJN catalog, I enjoy most of these games as well. I think it's long overdue they get their "fair trial", and that's exactly what my intention with this series is. I'm going to give each one a Cygnus Destroyer style review, and stick up for them when I see appropriate a la LJN Defender. Unlike LJN Defender, I'm going to address their faults when I see them, and I'm going to weigh the innocent and guilty evidence at the end to come up with my final verdict.
First case on the docket: Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout, a mid-period NES platformer based on a beloved licensed franchise. Did Kemco-Seika really take a wrong turn at Albuquerque with this, or is this a case of slander & libel against an innocent cart? Tune in to the Innocent Until Proven Guilty premiere to find out!
Also, it was just my birthday Sunday, and this was originally going to be released that day, but a number of delays and stupid mistakes kept that from happening. Anyway, even though it's late, I still consider this to be my birthday video. Enjoy:)
It's August, and this year marks the 52nd anniversary of the first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15. To celebrate, I'm having a month's worth of Spider-Man themed videos, five in total, starting with this initial handheld release based on the franchise. Does the game live up to its namesake? Find out in LJN Defender #7! Thanks for watching, and further big thanks to Adrian Fahrenheit for leading me to this idea:)

Spider-Man month continues with the second of four Game Boy releases based on the popular web-head. As I mentioned at the end of the last video, development responsibilities switched from Rare to B.I.T.S. (who developed the Game Boy Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, NOT the NES version, developed by Sculptured Software. My bad). B.I.T.S. developed one of my favorite entries in the franchise, Return of the Sinister Six (again, NOT part of Spider-Man Month.) Would this be a change for the better, and will the game be as awesome as that Carnage-centric cover? Tune in to this very special episode of The LJN Defender to find out.
