Ok, I'll say it. Greatest Add-on for a console EVER! The GameBoy Player. Gave the NGC a HUGE library of games. Since it not only could play gamecube games, but now could play nearly all the GameBoy, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance games.

I have to agree with you on that. I just recently got my first GameCube and I've been meaning to get a gameboy player...among other things (like a memory card! I got all these awesome games but somehow a memory card slipped my mind. Now I'm left with games like tales of symphonia and Zelda twilight princess staring me in the face torturing me. Especially since I've been wanting to play Zelda so badly lately. And speaking of Zelda, I recently got minish cap for free and have no gba or gameboy player to play it on!! I'm in dark times my friend.

If you get a GameBoy Player but no software so you can use it, let me know. I have an extra copy of the software from when my friends player died. (Main CPU chip died, so I couldn't repair it). I have had a gamecube since they were new. I actually have 2. My original which is not operating anymore. (My moms dog throught it was a fire hydrent. It powers on but won't read disks. A project for later to fix.) and then my new one so I could play games still. Oh, thats a good game, yeah that sucks not having a gba or gbp. I have 3 GBAs. 2 GBAs and a GBA-SP. They aren't hard to find. You can find them at used game shops that take in ALL games, for like $20. Memory cards are't much either. Jut need to hit up that retro game shop in your area. Or take a day trip to an area that does. I recommend saturdays so you can stop by some yard sales and do some game chasing.

Yep, without a shadow of a doubt it's the Game Boy Player for me. The games look magnificent on the T.V., especially the Classic and GBC titles.

The only issue I have ever had with the GBP is that the audio from th games sounds a little "muffled". Some times it'll clear up and sound great but then go back to being muffled. Don't know if thats just my GBP or if its how they work in general. Any thoughts on that?

My sister has a GBA (original, not SP) but the R button doesn't work so I decided just to wait until I get my own which I plan on doing soon.

I know where to find memory cards and GBAs and stuff, I'm just broke right now and have no car. I'm 17 and I can't get a job because all jobs require school records which I don't have because im homeschooled and all my records got severely molded and water damaged in storage so I'm gonna wait out the next 6 months until I'm 18 before I get a job and am able to buy as much stuff as I'd like.

Good luck to you my friend. The job market is really hard. I had a job, but had to quit it as it was too mentally and emotionally draining to me. I am currently without a job and I really miss the money to by vintage and retro electronics and games.

Thanks. Good luck to you as well. It's hard not having money. I recently saw someone selling a NES, Atari 2600, 2 gamecubes, an Xbox, and an n64 on Craigslist for cheap. Unfortunately even cheap us too steep for me right now. Especially since I just recently got my mom to buy me a dingoo a320 and I'm not about to be selfish and ask for anything more.

Ah, the Dingoo, how is it? Not really something I'd buy. but would accept if it was a gift. I am not big on game emulation. I rather play it on its native hardware.

I haven't received it yet. Normally I prefer gaming on the original console as well but I found out production has stopped on the a320 and I could only find 2 online stores that still had it in stock so I thought I'd pick it up to hold me off on retro gaming until I get a job and can enjoy the games on their native console. I'm pretty excited for it.
