I want to know if I should get the sega cd or not? I will be buying a Sega Saturn first but I thought I would ask for future reference.

SEGA CD is Great. a lot of Great games with great soundtrack.

Sonic CD, Batman Returns, Silpheed, Ecco, Mickey Mania, Lords of thunder and more.

And my Favorite: Android Assault!

A great Add-On very underrated and at least in europe these machines are dirt cheap as well so don't hesitateman.

Don't forget The Terminator. I loved that game, and it had some of the best game music ever. And yeah, you can't go wrong with Sonic CD.

Sega CD is definitely worth it. Unfortunately, like the Saturn, some of the best games had low print runs and could cost you a pretty penny.

Sega CD is worth it if you love Sonic, it has one of the best sonic games out there. The only downside is that it takes a really long time to load.

I'll give you plenty of reasons to own a Sega CD other than Lunar:

-Android Assault
-Final Fight CD (MUCH better than the SNES version)
-Lords of Thunder (possibly the best shmups EVER)
-Robo-Aleste
-Silpheed
-Sonic CD
-The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin (MUCH better than the Genesis or Master System versions with plenty of updates)

A lot the games are relatively cheap to find, too (if you're not looking for Lunar). And the system itself shouldn't be too expensive either, especially if you already have a Genesis.

Some other good titles not mentioned...

Wolf Child
Soulstar
Hook - (Sega CD has full voices, FMV cut scenes and music from the movie!)
Flink / The Misadventures of Flink
Monkey Island
Dark Wizard
Rise of the Dragon
The Adventures of Willy Beamish

Personally, if you happen to come across one I would get it but otherwise I wouldn't bother. The good games on it are few and far between and many of them have better versions on other systems (ex. Monkey Island) or their "improved" versions are hardly worth it (ex. Ecco). Also, I'm of the very streamlined opinion that Lunar isn't really that good of a game. Again, just my opinion.
