Jen Broomall, Kelci Crawford, Shannon Eric Denton, Christopher Herndon, Danny Miki, Bryan Q. Miller and Brandon Peterson to Join PHXCC 2014
Phoenix Comicon is proud to announce that comic book artists Jen Broomall, Kelci Crawford, Shannon Eric Denton, Christopher Herndon, Danny Miki, Bryan Q. Miller and Brandon Peterson will be attending Comicon 2014.
“Can you ever have enough great comics guests? We don’t think so and are happy to welcome these great Guests to this year’s Convention,” says Director of Marketing Jillian Squires.
Jen Broomall is a comic book illustrator best known for her work on the series the Legend of Oz for Big Dog Ink. She has worked for several comic companies such as Big Dog Ink, Aspen, Zenescope and Blue Rainbow Online. Broomall is currently working as a freelance cover illustrator.
Kelci Crawford is an independent comic artist best known for the webcomics “Validation” (co-created with Christian Beranek) and “Johnson & Sir.” She currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.
Shannon Eric Denton is a storyteller and artist with credits at Cartoon Network, NBC, Disney, Marvel Entertainment and many more. Denton was a storyboard artist on the Oscar-nominated feature Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and directed the original commercial animations for the movie. From 1995-1999, Shannon contributed to the design and development of almost every animated action adventure show produced by the Fox Kids Network, including X-Men, Spider-Man and the Annie nominated Silver Surfer series.
Christopher Herndon is a comic book artist best known for his work as co-creator of the acclaimed series Living With Zombies. His other self-published works include Yara Ma Yahoo and The Plow. Herndon also has experience in film, television and theater production as well, which includes Prosthetics work on the 2006 movie Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead.
Danny Miki is a comic book artist best know for as an artist for Batman from DC Comics. He has worked with Image Comics inking Youngblood, Marvel Comics on Avengers and X-Men titles and DC Comics on Batman: No Man’s Land. Miki has also designed toys for Mattel as well.
Bryan Q. Miller is a television and comic writer most notable for his work on the CW’s television series Smallville and DC’s comic book Batgirl. Starting as an unpaid intern during season five of Smallville, Miller was eventually promoted up to Staff Writer by season eight. After Smallville, Miller wrote and re-launched the Batgirl book. Miller is also know for his working as an author for the graphic novel anthology Pirates of the Caribbean: Six Sea Chanties.
Brandon Peterson is a comic book writer and artist. He is known for his hyper detailed artwork and intricate line work. Peterson is best known for his work on Marvel Comics’ Uncanny X-Men and Top Cow’s Codename: Strykeforce. Peterson also wrote and drew the creator-owned title Arcanum.
Phoenix Comicon is the signature pop culture experience of the southwest. Comicon is presenting guests and programming for hobbyists by attracting the top segments of the comics, anime, sci-fi, film, tv, and gaming industries. Entering its twelfth year, Phoenix Comicon is expected to draw over 65,000 attendees to its June 5-8, 2014 convention held at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency in Downtown Phoenix.
