RetroN HD: Hyperkin Announces HD Console for NES Cartridges
May 11, 2017 (Los Angeles, Calif.) There really is no excuse to not be a retrogamer in 2017. Hyperkin, a video game hardware development company from Los Angeles, has announced it will be releasing the RetroN HD, a high definition update of their original RetroN (1), now in stunning 720p output. Supporting both NTSC and PAL NES cartridges, as well as shipping with a new premium controller called the “Cadet,” the RetroN HD stands to be the best solution for NES gaming in our current gaming generation.  The RetroN HD can be found at your local retailer on May 25th, as well as available for pre-order on Amazon and HyperkinLab.com for $39.99.

“This is the best time to be an NES enthusiast,” said Hyperkin Product Developer, Chris Gallizzi. “With the advent of the NES Classic Edition, Capcom’s Disney Afternoon Collection, and just a general resurgence in 8-bit gaming, the RetroN HD is both the perfect time machine and gateway console for playing real NES cartridges in your modern living room.”

The RetroN HD will be available to demo May 12-13 at LVL UP Expo (Booth #137) in Las Vegas, Nevada and June 13-15 at E3 (Booth #235) in Los Angeles, California.
