I was in Seattle over this past weekend and I visited Pink Gorilla. I picked up Scooby Doo Mystery for the Genesis (great point and click game), Splatterhouse for the TG-16 and Who Framed Rodger Rabbit for the original GB. In total I paid around $35 for everything.

Every time I am standing in a gaming store, I can never remember the name of that Scooby Doo game! It sounds like something I would really like.

Too bad we could not have met this weekend, but it's cool you got out to Pink Gorilla. They always have something you want.

Now, make a Pickups video Gamester! What's it been since the last one? A year? The stack of games will be so high, all we'll see is your baseball cap for the first hour!

Best Goodwill pick up ever! Got a Commodore 64 for $4! It was only the unit itself, so I have to find a power-cord online to see if it works, and probably pay and arm and a leg for shipping since it's a brick. But how else am I gonna get one?

Here's to hoping it works. I've missed my C64 ever since it got the dreaded black-screen of death.

I also got:

-Earthworm Jim (Genesis)
-Gargoyles (Genesis)
-T2: The Arcade Game (SNES)

Along with a book and a DVD and the C64 for a grand total of $19.

I had a recent haul of around 40 Sega Saturn, Sega CD and 3D0 games and the following consoles:
Sega Power Base Converter
Sega CDX
Virutal Boy
TurboGrafx 16
Sega Nomad

Been an awesome last couple of months for my collection! If you guys want a list of games I got, I'd be glad to post the lengthy list.

Some recent pick-ups at Goodwill for a grand total of $18.98:

-Dragon Warrior (NES)
-Eternal Champions (Genesis) (with a surprisingly large and in-depth manual)
-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
-Mortal Kombat 3 (SNES)
-Rastan Saga II (Genesis)

Also picked these 2 up on Wii Virtual Console, because they're a lot cheaper that way than getting physical copies:

-Breath of Fire (SNES)
-Chrono Trigger (SNES)

and recently got:

-Descent 1, 2, & 3 (GoG Download)
-Ultima IV: Quest For the Avatar (GoG Download)
-WizOrb (Xbox Live Arcade)

While rummaging through my parents' garage, I recently picked up some game boxes. As a kid, I always had a NES storage case to hold games, so the boxes would disappear shortly after taking the game out. Apparently, my mother saved most of the boxes that weren't torn apart during the excitement of receiving a new game. Some of the better finds were:
NES: Zelda, Megaman 2, Mario 3, Castlevania, Super Contra, Bubble
Bobble
TG-16: Bonk's Revenge, Neutopia II, Splatterhouse
SNES: Castlevania IV, Final Fight, F-Zero, Actraiser
Also pulled the boxes for the above systems. Was a great and super nostalgic weekend overall.
